Thanks St. George Nth Youth!

Thanks so much for having me tonight and dealing so well with such an awkward topic.  I hope you gained a clearer understanding of some of the dangers of pornography and were equipped to think biblically about how to find freedom in Christ.  As promised, below are some links and resources for you to check out.  I hope they are of some help.  If I can be of help in any other way, you can get in touch via email or on Facebook or Twitter.  My email is in the contact section of this site.  You can find a link to my Facebook and Twitter at the bottom of the page by clicking on the icon.  Peace!

Fight the new drug

Fight The New Drug is a non-religious organisation that seeks to raise awareness about the harms of pornography.  They have heaps of incredible information, including research, helpful articles, as well as videos.  I've included two below: one introducing them and the other outlining their recovery program.

xxx church

XXX Church describes itself as 'the best Christian porn site on the web'.  Like Fight The New Drug, XXX Church has a heap of articles and media that can help you learn about the dangers of porn, as well as help with recovery.  They also offer a recovery program, web filtering and accountability. This site is definitely worth a look.

The Grace Spot

The Grace Spot is a website put together by a young woman who has struggled with an addiction to porn.  It's a site run by women, for women.  The Grace Spot contains the stories of other women and how Christian faith has helped them in their struggle against addiction.  This site is perfect for girls struggling with porn.

Some other helpful links

Below are some links to a few other websites that you might find helpful.  The eSafety link and the Kids Helpline link both have information on sexting, and what to do if you find yourself in a difficult situation.  Kids Helpline also offer free counselling over the phone, email or online chat.  With pornography use having such strong links to anxiety and depression, the Beyond Blue website may also offer some help if you're struggling in that way.  Click on the pictures to head to the website.
